The Assault Weapons Ban is Dead

And it’s about time.
After a party-line vote, the House Judiciary Committee sent H.R. 1808 to the full House for consideration.
H.R. 1808 is more widely known as the Assault Weapons Ban of 2021. It was introduced on March 31, 2021 by Rhode Island Democrat David Cicilline and promptly referred to the committee where it would most likely have stayed until the 117th term ended.
